AMAZEBALLS RECIPES FROM THE BOYS: HEALTHY EDITION
Posted in: people

Hey hey! Rob and Dennis here, better known as The Boys - stars of stage[fright] and screen – helping to spread the comfy undies word to Aussie men nationwide. But today is not about undies. Today, we’re here to talk about what everyone else is talking about #cleaneating. These days, it’s all fitspo and squad goals and chia seeds (blergh!). Just like the masses, we’re all about staying healthy. Well… one of us is, Rob not so much. But The Brain is totes legit about keeping fit. We dug up a few of his go-to healthy recipes that are sooo quick and easy, you’ll be chucking on a cravat and calling yourself Matt Preston in no time!

GREENIEST GREEN SMOOTHIE

For all you green smoothie fans out there here’s the greeniest recipe ever, which is also one of Rob’s faves. From the brain to your boys, glow from the inside out with this easy and nourishing smoothie blend. It’s a cracking way to get all your vitamins at once. Bottoms up!

Step 1: Grab your Nutribullet (or your old school prehistoric blender) from that really annoying high cupboard in your kitchen.

Smoothie1

Step 2: Pop 3-4 mint flavoured Cornettos into the Nutribullet and whizz up.

THE BOYS’ BLISS BALLS

Take it from me (Dennis *waves*) the fellas down at the footy club will love you when you roll up with a batch of these energy-boosting Bliss Balls. Full of superfood goodness, they’re the snack of champions. Bust them out along with a bit of Queen’s “We Are The Champions,” and you’ll have the team raring to go in no time.

Step 1: Drive to the supermarket.

Step 2: Find the aisle that stocks Raffaellos or Ferrero Rochers. Buy either or both if you feel like getting fancy.

Step 3: Open the packet.

Step 4: Expertly arrange Bliss Balls onto a wooden board or have them rolling out of a jam jar onto a piece of sack material for that rustic look.

ORANGE YOU GLAD YOU’RE EATING THIS?

This recipe reminds us of far, far simpler times. Like the ones you might see in a documentary about cavemen roaming the planet and feeding off foraged fruits and berries. Or back to the days of school sports and half-time snacks, when us boys were sometimes met with an accidental blow from a wayward cricket bat or footy tackle. Ouch! We prefer to think of cavemen.

Step 1: Get an orange.

Orange1

Step 2: Peel said orange*.

Orange2

Step 3: Eat said orange.

*If time poor, may we suggest this as an alternative option.
