BONDS CLASSICS: Q&A WITH JACK VANDERHART
Posted in: people

Jack's back! As the one lucky guy amongst a bevy of Bonds beauties, Aussie model Jack Vanderhart is back to front our new Bonds Classics campaign.

Jack

After making his big break at just 17, Jack walked runways and appeared in campaigns for some of fashion’s biggest names. In 2012, the Aussie heartthrob starred in our 'We are Bonds' ads in 2012 and now joins forces with Elyse Taylor and Sarah Stephens to celebrate our 100th birthday and the Bonds classic undies shapes. Read our Q&A with Jack below…

--Q&A--

What would you buy BONDS for their 100th birthday?

A giant cake the shape of a pair of Bonds jocks.

What 3 words come to mind when you think of BONDS?

Comfy, Home and Aussie.

Do you prefer boxers or jocks?

I'm more of a jocks guy.

What’s your favourite thing to do when you’re back in Australia?

Hanging with my friends and family and going for surf.

How did you get into modelling?

My agent David Conway messaged me on Facebook when he saw my profile picture. Not long after, I started getting booked on jobs in New York, which was pretty epic.

What motto do you live by?

I don't really like to live by a motto, but over the years I’ve learn that it’s best to try and treat people the way you’d like to be treated.

What was it like being the only guy in a line-up of seasoned female underwear models?

I’m very proud to be the only guy for Bonds 100th campaign, especially surrounded by these gorgeous and talented Australian girls. When I told dad I think he was a bit jealous – it’s every man’s dream! Haha

What’s your top three style tips for guys that want to look stylish and comfortable?

My top three style tips would be to wear what you feel most comfortable in, invest in good quality items, as they will last longer and be bold enough to start your own trends!

When you are not working, how do you relax?

When I’m not running around doing castings and fittings, I love nothing more than to swim in the ocean. There’s nothing more satisfying than a good surf and hanging out with friends from home.

What is your favourite spot in New York?

Ruby's café in Soho is awesome. It’s owned by a couple of guys from Melbourne and they’ve managed to keep it very Aussie. The vibe is very chilled and the food is great. The Bronte Burger is the bomb!

How do you keep in shape?

I train every day and also do a lot of walking. I eat clean and drink green tea.

What are 3 attractive qualities you look for in a girl?

Ambition, a sense of humour and a good bum of course.
