Adelle Cousins is a self-confessed Grinch. She's also the blogging brains behind the fashion-turned-fitness blog, Where the Styled Things Are. She like to keep it real. Admittedly, I am not a massive Christmas fan, in fact, some call me the Grinch. It’s not that I hate Christmas, in fact I LOVE giving gifts and sharing the experiences however the clanging of shopping trolleys, the kids screaming and the copious amounts of people in the shopping centre can sometimes be VERY overwhelming. It’s all just too much for my brain. I guess this is the reason why every year, I end up rushing to the shops on December 24th with 1 hour to find 25 gifts.

Adelle's Christmas gift shopping tips: 

If you are anything like me, then you need my Christmas gift tips, because take it from me, I need to be organised this year…and online shopping is kind of my biggest tip!

My favourite tip: remember that online shopping means LESS PEOPLE TO DEAL WITH. Give it a whirl!

You know what they say - make a list, check it twice! Write down your gift list with ideas next to them to avoid over-spending.

Set your budget per person. You always have your close friends and family, who you spend a little more. For people, like work mates, something small always does the trick!

Avoid impulse buys online! Get online and search for things you love, put everything in the basket, then go back the next day and prioritise what you really want to get.

If you have someone who is hard to buy for, remember that basics always work. Sometimes jocks and socks are actually nice to receive!

If all else fails, gift cards work a treat! There is no better gift than getting a stack of gift cards for you to spend however you damn well please!

It’s all in the wrapping! Sometimes a cute gift can be right down to the wrapping, look at cheap options for wrapping like brown paper, and add twine or tags to make it look extra special.
