From her fairy floss hair to her fancy pants name, Fernanda Ly is a face that’s hard to miss. The Australian model shot to fame when she hit the runway for Louis Vuitton last year and took the fashion world by storm. First discovered in a shopping centre with her mother, the Sydneysider has since racked up an impressive list of covers including Vogue Japan, Vogue Italia, i-D and Teen Vogue. What’s something people would be surprised to learn about you?

That when I’m not working I just stay at home. I have an image that people think I go out all the time and have fun, but I pretty much just stay at home and do nothing. I enjoy being at home.

Lets talk about the hair, how do you keep it that perfect shade of pastel?

I used Manic Panic hair dye, I like the colours the most.

What would be your advice for those thinking about taking the plunge into pink?

Don’t rush it! That’s what a lot of people tend to do, and then they end up with hair that just breaks. If you really want pink hair straight away, just make sure you use really good treatments like Redken.

Who is your favourite Bonds ambassador and why?

Miranda Kerr. Because she’s an Australian model, we have the same occupation, and she went international.

What’s your most memorable Bonds moment?

Can I say my own campaign? I loved the Besties campaign in 2014. I have really nice memories of that; it’s always nice working with Aussies again.

What’s your fave Bonds underwear shape?

I’m more of a bikini type. It’s all about comfort for me, but no matter what the cut all Bonds underwear is comfortable.

What’s your fave look from the Bonds campaign?

The Puffer Vest with printed sweater and skinny jeans. I love the vest because you can dress it up or down and it’s flattering.

What do you love about the Puffer Vest?

It’s one of those things you can wear underneath things or on the outside as well - you can wear it in so many different ways. Plus, it’s not one of those ‘marshmallowy’ puffers that are so hard to wear.
