Pat Rafter is about as Bonds as Chesty Bonds himself. The tennis superstar has been a long-time ambassador for our brand and now he's taking his job as model even more seriously. After hanging up his underpants some time ago, Pat is stepping out at the new foot model of Bonds socks. We recently asked him all about his new gig as the face of Australia's favourite socks, the Logo Sock.
How does it feel to be Bonds’ newest foot model? It's new ground so I'll have to see where it takes me. Not sure the upside is great, though ;)
What prep did you do leading up to the shoot (e.g. pedicures, massages, waxing?) Nothing. I got fat and didn't have to worry about my undies fitting. It was awesome!
Do you miss the days of modelling in just your undies? That would be a big NO. I did have some fun though, there's always lots of laughs when making a Bonds ad.
On a scale from 1 to 10, how happy are you with your current socks life? I don't want to sound like I’m brown-nosing, but I have to be honest - 10.
Crew or low cut? Low cut.
Tees or Chesty? Do I have to pick? Chesty.
Boxers or briefs? Boxers (trunks).
Pete Sampras or Pete Hellier? Sampras for sure. Okay, Hellier. But only because he's funnier.
