This month, we’ve partnered with the McGrath Foundation to ‘Make a Point for Breast Cancer’. Read Marteen’s story below to find out more about the impact a McGrath Breast Care Nurse can have on those experiencing breast cancer…

“My McGrath Breast Care Nurse went through the information with me at my pace and if it got too much for me we would stop until I was ready to proceed. She met my mum, daughter and son in the early stages and made herself available to them too. She has made one of the most stressful times in my life that much more bearable.

She would attend specialist appointments with me and ‘pop in’ while I was having chemo. She rings and texts me regularly to check that I’m doing ok. I don’t know how I would have coped with everything without her by my side. We talk seriously but also share many laughs. The job that the McGrath Foundation does is truly amazing – thank you for my McGrath Breast Care Nurse!”
