MEET THE MODEL: CIARA DUNNE
Posted in: people

Rounding out the Charlie's Angels-esque trio that star in our new Mash Up women's undie campaign is Ciara Dunne. We caught up with the cool girl to get the lowdown on everything from how she expresses her individuality to her love of drag (YASSS!) Click on to read our Q&A with Ciara...

How do you like to express your individual style?

I express my individual style through my tattoos.

What or who inspires your personal style?

I like to wear comfortable clothes. I’m inspired by the women of '80s and '90s hip hop like Queen Latifah, Salt-N-Pepa and TLC, who proved you can wear baggy clothing and still be sexy and feminine.

What does individuality mean to you?

Individuality means unapologetically liking what you like, despite what may be in vogue or what people think of you.

What’s one thing that people would be surprised to know about you?

I’ve developed an unhealthy obsession with the art of drag over the past 4 years. From Club Kids to Divine and everything in between, I love it.

When it comes to music/food/fashion what are some your favourite mash-ups?

I like to mix elements of traditional Indian fashion, like jewellery or certain patterns with my everyday street wear.

What is your fave Bonds undies style and why?

The Hipster Mini Gee feels like I’m wearing nothing at all.

Are you a matchy-matchy or a clashy-clashy undie wearer?

Matchy-matchy, it’s oddly satisfying when your undies match your bra.

Snapchat or Instagram and why?

Instagram. Snapchat gives me FOMO for things I wouldn’t normally care about.

What’s on your playlist right this minute?

Digable Planets, Hieroglyphics, The Pharcyde.

What do you love to do most in your downtime?

Drawing and screen printing.

From sunrise to sunset, describe your ideal day?

Wake up early and have a big breakfast, walk my dog, do some drawing, spend the afternoon with my friends talking about nothing, make and eat a lot of ricotta gnocchi and then head out for a drag show and lots of dancing.

Who would play you in the movie of your life?

Zeenat Aman, the original bad girl of '70s Hindi cinema.
