As one of the faces in the girl squad who star in our Mash Up campaign, we sat down with Kat Wu to talk all things individuality and Instagram. One look at her feed and it's obvious Kat is no ordinary girl. She's someone who regularly mashes up her look (and food combos) which is why we love her!

How do you like to express your individual style? Is it through fashion/social media or some other art form?

I would say I express my individual style through social media platforms such as Instagram and Tumblr.

What or who inspires your personal style?

I wouldn't say a certain person or thing inspires my personal style. I draw inspiration from everything from social media to people I see on the street.

Describe what individuality means to you.

Individuality is being true to yourself. It's being completely honest and expressing yourself without worrying about what others think as long as you are happy.

What’s one thing that people would be surprised to know about you? 

Horoscopes and all things related to the universe.

What are some your favourite or unusual mash ups?

I listen to everything from George Benson to Erykah Badu to Isaiah Rashad. It all depends on my mood. A weird food combo I love is watermelon and rice. Also banana and cheese. Trust me it's good.

What is your fave Bonds undies style?

I've always worn Bonds underwear since I was in primary school. I remember it was cool to have the Bonds logo showing out of your pants. That would be my favourite Bonds undie style. The classic underwear brings back so many memories.

Are you a matchy-matchy or a clashy-clashy undie wearer?

Definitely matchy-matchy. Having matching underwear makes me feel like I have my life together.

Snapchat or Instagram and why?

Instagram because I am able to connect with more people. Snapchat is more private.

What’s on your playlist right this minute?

A lot of Playboi Carti, Lil Soda Boi, Yung Lean, and Lil Uzi Vert.

What do you love to do most in your downtime?

Catching up on TV shows, eating out with friends and spending time with my pets.

From sunrise to sunset, describe your ideal day?

The perfect day would be waking up to my favourite breakfast (avo, salmon and poached eggs on toast with a banana smoothie) then spending the whole day in Port Stephens with good company, most likely snorkeling and quad biking. Then ending the day watching the sunset on the sand dunes in Anna Bay eating poke bowls and sushi.

Who would play you in the movie of your life?

Devon Aoki hands down. She’s so badass.
