When it comes to Instagram fams who we are obsessed with, The Simple Folk (@thesimplefolk_) is high on our list. Raw, authentic, aspirational and adventurous, this family has it all goin' on. We asked the woman behind the phone, Bohannah, to take us through her Instagram journey so far.

Hey there, my name is Bohannah, my husband is Tye and we have two children, Indiana, who is turning 3 next week and Archer, who is 19 months old. We have always lived in the Perth hills of Western Australia but our dream is to live by the coast in the South West. We spend most of our time road tripping, exploring our favourite beaches, roasting coffee beans (and drinking them) renovating (a shed-house being the latest task) taking photos and dancing in tutus... well, one of us at least!

How did you get into Instagram?

I've always had an interest in photography and writing so Instagram was a perfect creative avenue for me. I began in the late stages of my pregnancy with Archer and continued to grow my following when Archer was born. It started as networking with other Mums, but my focus now is on capturing our lifestyle and adventures in a more candid way.

What's the best part about sharing your life on Instagram?

Photography and curating my page are probably what I enjoy the most. Being able to share my images with thousands and receive incredible feedback is really inspiring. Of course, the other best part is networking with iconic companies (likes Bonds) which is something I could never imagine happening if it wasn't for social media and blogging.

What’s your favourite local destination?

The Margaret River region of WA is our favourite spot. We make the 3-hour drive there often and it gets better every time. There are so many places to explore and it really feels like a different world down there. Some of our favourite beaches include - Red Gate, Castle Rock and Surfers Point.
