Coordinating her underwear to suit what she's wearing on any given day is one of Sophie Benbow's style rules. The blogger and social influencer has zero time for VPL's (we hear ya, sister!) We caught up with Soph to hear how she likes to mash up her lifestyle from food to fitness to fashion.

How do you like to express your individual style? 

I really like to express my individual style through fashion. I find it is such a good way to express how I am feeling and it can vary each day. My blog is more focused on fitness and food but when I get to do a fashion post I feel like it is when I’m most creative and it can evoke a mood and feeling that can be translated in so many different ways. I find my style is constantly changing and evolving and I embrace that each and every day.

What or who inspires your personal style?

I grew up watching my mother place emphasis on her personal appearance and that definitely rubbed off on me. She taught me how to take care of my skin, how to do my hair and so on and she also allowed me to be free to choose what fashion pieces I liked and how to style them. This was definitely a good start and since then I get inspiration from bloggers but in general, I like to think I wear what makes me feel good.

Describe what individuality means to you?

It means being yourself, breaking the rules, trusting your intuition and feeling confident.

What is your fave Bonds undies style and why? 

I really like the Lacies Skimpy and Bralette sets – they are so pretty but also so comfy.

When it comes to music/fashion/food what are some of your favourite or unusual mash-ups?

Hmmm… I would have to say Quinoa porridge and sweet potato brownies for food mash-ups. With fashion, I really like mixing classic, stylish pieces with sneakers or a baseball cap. I think the whole appeal of ‘sportluxe’ and ‘athleisure’ is that suddenly we can look girly and well-presented while still rocking some sporty pieces.

Are you a matchy-matchy or a clashy-clashy undie wearer and why?

I would LOVE to think I am a matchy-matchy kind of person but to be honest I am not that organised! I do however choose my underwear based on what outfit I’m going to be wearing that day. No time for VPL’s!
