The weather might be getting cooler, but it doesn’t mean you can’t brighten up your home with a fresh floral garland! Grab the kids and get creating with this easy step-by-step DIY Paper Flower Garland from craft blogger Rachel Burke of ‘I Make. You Wear It’. Check it out below…
WHAT YOU NEED
1 a metre of green wool
Flower shaped hole-punchers
Variety of cardboard/old, cute pages of magazines/origami paper
Hot glue gun/glue
Begin by spending some time hole-punching 10 flower shapes in 2 varieties (a total of 20 cut outs). Make the flower shapes out of a variety of paper that has different colours/patterns.
Layer your 2 flower shape together. Glue together. Then, glue a bead in the centre of the top flower!
Repeat this method across all your cut outs so that you have 10 flowers in total.
Cut out some leaf shapes. Fold them in half to create a small centre crease in each piece.
Double your length of wool over and glue your paper flowers to the length. Be sure to space your blooms out evenly.
Once complete, glue your leaves onto the flowers, and scatter some across the length of wool too!
And that’s it! To hang up on a wall, just use a small amount of Washi tape.
